News from International Paleolimnology Symposium 2015

I am sitting in a very comfy chair (i.e. I will go to sleep shortly) in the opening session of the International Paleolimnology Symposium in Lanzhou China. I’ll be tweeting on #palaeolim2015 things that I find interesting follow me @richardjtelford.

Lanzhou is very hot, traffic is scary (think frogger – all those police are obviously not to keep pedestrians safe). My train from Beijing was nine hours  late on account of extreme rainfall at Xian washing out the railway. I missed the early career session which I was supposed to help, but did see the mountains at Hua Shan.
